Lately, I’ve written a lot about links and their impact on Search Engine Optimization. A topic of emphasis has been the distinction between strong, authoritative links and bad links. Strong, authoritative links are those that an actual human being has taken the time to approve. Links are also considered strong when they are included as part of the fresh content in a page. This shows the relevancy of the link to the page content that Google is looking for. Bad, weak links are those that are automatically created with no human intervention or quality review. These links are created mainly through software tools. They are the ones that many sites bought through a third party and were discredited through the Penguin algorithm updates.
It’s mainly due to the emerging technology – and how there are no real ‘cast iron’ rules with SEO. Google isn’t going to publish the formal rules so you can rank top of the search engines, and so, its hard to draft a formal ‘test’ or list of rules you must follow. One things for sure, SEO Experience comes down to one thing – testing.
Anyway, if you want your site to be loved by SEO COMPANIES, you must make it a google + business page. Then place the google + button in your site contents. You must also keep on placing the links of your blogs in your google + business page. The more people you can include in your circles hitting the plus button, the more you are giving your site the chance to go upwards.
Instead of “fighting” to sell people on using Faxes… go to restaurants that are already using Faxes. One of the restaurants in my town had a Fish Bowl next to their cash register with a sign that said; “Drop your business card in the Bowl to Join our “Fax Club” to receive special offers via Fax!
How do they attain greatness? It’s a simple yet grueling thing that they call training. They don’t become masters of multiple forms of contentious techniques by fighting a couple of times. They have to always sharpen and master new techniques of Mixed Martial Arts to have anticipation of succeeding against the many talented competitors in the UFC.
And that’s why garbage detection is part of the ranking equation. For example, if I click a link and hit the back button right away, Google knows it. If it happens a lot, the site that people click away from will see a drop in rankings, even if it’s done everything else right according to the “rules” of SEO.
Although different with SEO, Google News is also a good way of helping you bring in site traffic, which you can do to complement with your other SEO efforts.
